1. Nature of the service

The service is a free, peer-to-peer (WebRTC) video calling tool run as a personal hobby project. It is not a commercial product, carries no service level guarantee, and may be modified, limited or shut down at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to consent to the processing described in the Privacy Policy under the law that applies to you, and capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are using the service on behalf of others in a call, make sure they also agree to these terms.

3. Acceptable use

Calls involve two people sharing live audio and video. Each participant is responsible for behaving lawfully and respectfully. In many jurisdictions (including Germany) recording a call without the other person's knowledge and consent is illegal — do not do it.

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Calls may fail, drop, lag or be of poor quality, and the service may be unavailable or change at any time. Connection state, quality indicators and any other output can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Use it at your own risk.

6. Privacy & what is transmitted

This tool uses WebRTC. Your audio and video are sent to the other participant, and your IP address is shared with the signaling, STUN and TURN providers needed to connect (and, if a direct connection is not possible, your media is relayed through a TURN server). Only call people you trust, and do not share sensitive personal information, credentials or secrets you would not want the other participant or relay infrastructure to receive. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party infrastructure (such as a signaling server, STUN/TURN servers, a library CDN and web fonts). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, are outside the operator's control, and may change or become unavailable. The operator is not responsible for third-party services.

8. Availability & changes

There is no guaranteed uptime. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may be suspended or discontinued at any time. The operator may also restrict or block access in response to abuse or to protect the service.

9. Intellectual property

The project's own code is the operator's, subject to any open-source license stated in the repository. Third-party libraries remain under their respective licenses. The content you exchange in a call remains yours; you are responsible for having the rights to share it.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, this hobby project, including indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Liability is not excluded for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or where mandatory statutory liability (for example under the German Product Liability Act) applies.

11. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own conduct, for the content you transmit, and for complying with all laws that apply to you. If your misuse of the service causes claims against the operator, you are responsible for those claims to the extent the law allows.

12. Reporting abuse

If you encounter abuse, illegal content or a security issue, please report it to the operator using the contact details in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the operator's jurisdiction (Germany / EU), excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

As a hobby project, these terms may be updated when the tools, providers or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

This document is provided for transparency for a small hobby project and is not legal advice.
